Job Description & Summary

Position Summary


The primary mission of the Senior Analyst for AptarGroup, Inc. is to work as a member of the Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Team to prepare forecasts and budgets, analyze the worldwide consolidated financial results and develop reporting of meaningful metrics for management.  This includes developing the 5 year plan and forecasts/budget, conducting monthly consolidated financial fluctuation reviews, and providing support for the SAP BPC consolidation tool/process and special projects.   


Key Responsibilities

  1. AptarGroup Worldwide Financial Statements
    1. Analyze the worldwide consolidated financial statements
    2. Support preparation of regular reporting and analysis to the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors
  2. System administrator for SAP BPC, the corporate consolidation software, from a FP&A perspective, working closely with the Consolidation Team (the owners of BPC), to:
    1. Develop tools/standard reports to be deployed throughout the organization
    2. Monthly/Quarterly estimate, annual budget and 5 year plan consolidations
  3. Define and drive projects to create the appropriate level of information collected in consolidating systems to support:
    1. Business Intelligence tool and dashboard reports
    2. Monthly segment financial reports
  4. Provide functional finance support to corporate functions (direct corporate cost and global functional costs) actual and budget information
  5. Control capital allocation,  maintain policy/process for evaluating capital projects, manage capital project reporting, including regular capital project and acquisition look back analysis
  6. Other Reporting Requirements:
    1. Special projects / analyses
    2. Integrate acquisitions into the FP&A framework
    3. Drive implementation of FP&A process standardization, consistency, and improvement across all 3 segments
    4. Provide standard and ad hoc analysis package for Investor Relations

Required Qualifications

  • Required:  College or university accounting/business degree.
  • Preferred:  CPA, MBA or comparable certificate.
  • Preferred:  4+ years working experience.
  • Preferred:  Prior FP&A experience.
  • Must possess good financial acumen and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with financial systems, including SAP, SAP BPC and advanced Excel /PowerPoint
  • Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated
  • Ability to work within a multi-cultural environment.  Language skills are a plus.
