Primary purpose summary:

The Area Sales Manager provides the maximum efficacy in the commercial activity within the area of competence, driving it to development, turnover and profit results, in compliance with company's strategy.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Is responsible of the commercial budget achievement for the area of competence.
  • Is responsible for the commercial development of the area, through regular prospection visits to pharmaceutical and consumer health care companies, in order to implement products positioning strategy defined by the Group and to wider the contact/customer base generating new business opportunities.
  • Gather and transmit information on market evolution: in particular about competitor's commercial strategy, with particular focus on product's strategy and price policy, and on market situation and eventual on-going environmental/regulatory changes.
  • Identify key growth opportunities in the area of competence.
  • Ensure the coherence of applied receivables, in cooperation with Finance department, in order to ensure client's respect of payment terms.
  • Propose a definition of marketing cost budget for the competence area, submitting to Sales Director EMEA CHC the events and solutions which are considered ideal to the target, in compliance with company's global promotional strategy.


Required Qualifications:

  • Degree in business, engineering or other related business fields
  • Experience in commercial management
  • Experience in management of relationship with international clients
  • Specific experience in the Pharma segment
  • Fluency in English, French and basic knowledge in Spanish
  • Negotiation capability
  • Interpersonal skills in relationship with international customers
  • Technical competence and problem solving
  • Committment to results and to profitability in managing relations with customers
