Extrusion Process Technician

Responsibilities
Include but are not limited to the following: 
•    Links/returns raw materials using MES/SAP to ensure accurate inventory levels.
•    Operates and troubleshoots extrusion and auxiliary equipment. 
•    Leads and performs material changeovers, set-ups, and start-ups as directed by area management. 
•    Performs and documents in-process sampling. 
•    Completes all required documentation accurately per GDP requirements. 
•    Adjust process parameters such as temperature, pressure, speed, and feed rates to maintain optimal extrusion conditions.
•    Verifies that extruded products are package and labelled correctly. 
•    Champion a safety culture by ensuring that all safety guidelines, policies, and protocols are followed.
•    Completes required training in a timely manner.
•    Any other responsibilities assigned by area management.

Qualifications/Education/Special Skills
•    Physical ability to perform activity in the extrusion room
•    Strong mechanical aptitude
•    Experience leading troubleshooting efforts on extrusion or related equipment
•    Experience making process adjustments to manufacturing equipment
•    Strong organizational and communication skills
•    Ability and willingness to work a 12 hour schedule
