WHAT’S NEW WITH APTAR

We have an exciting position open in North America: Process Engineer, reporting to the Technical Director in our Film Department. This position is based in Auburn, AL.

 

THIS IS HOW YOUR JOURNEY BEGINS 

  • To define and implement changes to the manufacturing process that will demonstrate measurable improvements in any or all key performance metrics. The metrics include but are not limited to: critical defects, non-critical defects, cosmetic defects, extrusion and converting yields, Extrusion and Converting rates, scrap, and machine utilization.
  • To create, manage, and document projects in an organized and professional manner utilizing the DMAIC process in project management.
  • To use advanced statistical tools to analyze data on project results and on overall manufacturing performance.
  • To implement the use of Six Sigma tools at CSP and to assist in training other employees in their application.
  • To provide new product design testing and verification of fit, form, and function for commercialization.
  • To act as the primary contact for selected customers for all quality/engineering issues. This includes providing responses to quality issues, data on performance, and updates on projects that affect the customer. It also includes being able to gather information on customer requirements, potential business opportunities, cost modeling, return on investment analysis, purchase decision pros and cons.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential.

 

 

 

 

WHAT YOU WILL BRING ON THE JOURNEY 

  • Bachelors and/or Master’s degree in an engineering discipline.
  • Four years’ industrial experience preferred.
  • Ability to obtain Six Sigma Green or Black Belt.
  • Proficiency in use of statistical, analytical tools.
  • Proficiency in use of FMEAs and Design of Experiments.
