Responsibilities
Include but are not limited to the following:
• To define and implement changes to the manufacturing process that will demonstrate
measurable improvements in any or all key performance matrices. The matrices include but
are not limited to: critical defects, non-critical defects, cosmetic defects, compounding yields,
compounding rates, scrap, and machine utilization.
• To create, manage, and document projects in an organized and professional manner utilizing
the DMAIC process in project management.
• To use advanced statistical tools to analyze data on project results and on overall
manufacturing performance.
• To implement the use of Six Sigma tools at CSP and to assist in training other employees in
their application.
• To provide new product design testing and verification of fit, form, and function for
commercialization.
• To act as the primary contact for selected customers for all quality/engineering issues. This
includes providing responses to quality issues, data on performance, and updates on projects
that impact the customer. It also includes being able to gather information on customer
requirements, potential business opportunities, cost modeling, return on investment analysis,
purchase decision pros and con.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential.
Qualifications/Education/Special Skills
• Bachelors and/or Master’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• Ability to obtain Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.
• Basic understanding of statistical, analytical tools.
• Basic understanding of FMEAs and Design of Experiments.
