What You Will Do At Aptar Pharma:

This role ensures that NextBreath’s Company goals are met, and that the organization operates daily in an integrated and effective way. This visible leadership role will manage multiple functional areas such as project management, laboratory, quality, human resources, budgeting, revenue and cost projections as well as customer and supplier relations. In addition, the position with partner closely with business development, scientific affairs, legal as well as with senior management in developing operational strategies that supports the Aptar Pharma strategy.   Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Lead by example and with integrity to establish and maintain a trusting, inclusive, inspiring and productive work environment.
  • Create a culture of data driven results, continuous improvement and respect of timelines.
  • Work with Executive leadership on developing and implementing short term and long-term strategies and business operating plans.
  • Create and lead a customer centric culture focused on meeting customer milestones and needs
  • Monitor day-to-day operational systems and processes to ensure visibility into the goals, smooth progress, cross-functional integration, regulatory and quality compliance, and pro-activity mindset into the end-to-end operations management.
  • Drive a performance management approach to monitor and analyze key performance metrics (KPIs) for day-to-day operations to ensure efficient, productive and timely completion of tasks as well as to instill an operational excellence attitude. 
  • Collaborate with the Director of Science (and other scientific experts and business development as needed) to ensure profitability targets are met with client studies and programs.
  • Define strategies for ensuring the growth of programs enterprise-wide, and implement process improvements to maximize output and revenue while optimizing/minimizing costs and resources.
  • In each functional area, apprehend roadblocks, identify challenges and develop mitigation plans to make sure the organization continuously operates effectively while following good manufacturing practices (cGMP) and good documentation practices (GDP).
  • Work with project managers, finance and business development/sales in the development of financial and budgetary plans including CAPEX and Personnel Capacity Planning.
  • Work closely with Finance/Controlling, HR and senior management to ensure enterprise targets and objectives are defined, tracked and adjusted as needed to support the segment and division growth strategy and initiatives
  • Attend important customer meetings and business review meetings and participate in regulatory inspections and audits as needed.
  • Draw on relationships with department leader’s direct reports, customers, vendors and external partners as needed to make decisions regarding operational activity and strategic goals.
  • Uphold the organization's policies and standards, and ensure that quality and regulatory guidelines are followed.
  • Collaborate closely with Pharma Scientific Affairs, Business Development, Legal/Regulatory and senior management to support the Aptar Pharma growth strategy and execution plans.
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives to enhance workforce productivity and support new opportunities for growth.
  • Support and assist direct reports in planning growth and development for themselves as well as for their respective team members and, complete annual performance reviews for each direct report.
  • Reports regularly to senior management and participates as required to Aptar Pharma and Aptar Global meetings.
  • Interacts regularly with global Aptar Pharma team members.

 


What Aptar Pharma Is Looking For:

  • BS or higher degree (or equivalent work experience) in business administration, or business and life sciences (chemistry, biology or other scientific field)
  • 10+ years in pharmaceutical industry with preferred experience in complex dosage forms such as Injectables, inhalation, medical devices, biologics, biosimilar
  • 7+ years in management of laboratory or manufacturing operations or management of a CRO/CMO
  • Highly experienced in managing cross-functional organizations and diverse employee structures
  • Proven ability to plan and manage operational process for maximum efficiency and productivity
  • Ability to streamline or implement new structures and roles to boost speed and efficiency while supporting rapidly shifting business demands
  • Strong working experience in GMP, validation, quality control, regulatory and legal guidelines
  • Excellent people manager, open to direction and collaborative work style and commitment to get the job done
  • Experience in developing and leading budgets and business plans, revenue and cost projections
  • Superior management and leadership skills to lead a cross-functional organization
  • Proven track record of success enabling and encouraging a progressive and inclusive organizational change
  • Ability to manage multiple complex priorities and work under pressure
  • Customer advocate and experience developing operational strategies and process in support of high quality customer service.
  • Strong analytical, project management and problem solving skills
  • Effective business acumen, approachable, astute with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to expresses information and ideas in a manner that is appropriate, concise and accurate
  • Proven ability to develop innovative solutions that lead to increased productivity
