About the Role:
Aptar Pharma Services is seeking a motivated and talented summer intern to contribute to projects within our particle engineering platform technologies group. This internship offers hands-on experience with both novel and conventional particle engineering approaches, applicable across multiple classes of molecules, including small molecules and biologics. The intern will actively participate in experimental design, protocol implementation, execution, and data analysis, as well as in preparing technical reports and presentations. The role involves close collaboration with the internal technical team to achieve project objectives by the conclusion of the internship. This position provides exposure to state-of-the-art particle engineering strategies and analytical methods, supporting the development of pharmaceutical formulations in line with industry standards and current scientific best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design and execution of experiments using in-house particle engineering platform technologies.
- Implement and optimize protocols for novel and conventional particle engineering approaches.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret experimental data, and summarize results for internal discussions.
- Prepare technical reports and scientific presentations to communicate findings.
- Collaborate with the internal team and project manager to ensure timely and accurate project deliverables.
- Contribute to problem-solving discussions and project strategy.
- Prepare scientific presentations for internal review and potential external publications.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of thermodynamics, data analysis, and experimental design.
- Familiarity with cGMP practices and laboratory compliance standards.
- Proficiency in technical writing, preparing reports, and presenting scientific data.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
Preferred Skills:
- Prior experience in pharmaceutical sciences is a plus.
- Familiarity with laboratory instrumentation and analytical techniques.
Learning Opportunities:
- Hands-on experience with particle engineering platforms across diverse molecule classes.
- Exposure to industry-standard experimental design, data analysis, and cGMP practices.

Compensation and Base Annual Pay
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is USD $23.00 to $25.00 per hour. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
