Regulatory Specialist

Reports to: Manager, Regulatory North America

Location: Any Aptar location North America or EMEA with option to work remotely

 

 

Position Summary

Provides regulatory direction to customers for Beauty + Home and Food + Beverage markets in North America by understanding and interpreting Regulatory Directives (US and EU), utilizing internal systems and corresponding with the raw material suppliers, internal and external stakeholders. 

 

Job Elements & Position Responsibilities

  1. Demonstrated ability to read and understand complex regulatory text as applicable to food safe and high hygiene products, and apply understanding to make informed decisions about product regulatory compliance.
  2. Advise internal and external stakeholders on regulatory applicability and product compliance.
  3. Communicate directly with internal and external customers in a logical and concise way, interpreting product regulatory requirements and applicability to protect the interests of Aptar and its products.
  4. Assist in the design, development, and deployment of databases, including product attributes, regulations, and other related items.
  5. Independently manages and responds to internal and external customer requests related to complex product regulatory schemes.
  6. Liaises with Aptar global regulatory team members to respond to internal and external customer inquiries pertaining to products containing components manufactured in Aptar or non-Aptar locations outside of the U.S.

 

Required Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, technical field preferred
  • A minimum of one year experience in the Regulatory field

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong working knowledge of FDA, California Proposition 65, REACH, RoHS, etc. regulatory schemes and their impact on food safe and high hygiene products
  • Some knowledge of Pharmaceutical regulatory schemes
  • Strong knowledge of GFSI standard
  • Outstanding communication skills, including well-articulated and concise technical writing
  • Ability to communicate complex topics in a simple, streamlined way
  • Ability to manage multiple open requests at a single time without missing deadlines or making critical errors
