We have an exciting position open in Cary, IL:  Production Lead.  This position will be based in Cary and will be responsible for providing a wide variety of support to production teams.

 2nd shift:  Monday - Friday, 4:20 pm - 12:30 am

3rd shift:  Monday - Friday, 12:20 am - 8:30 am

  • Helps focus team to achieve workcenter goals
  • Ensures that KPIs are updated and production paperwork is complete
  • Facilitates shift change meetings
  • Distributes workcenter responsibilities to team members as needed
  • Assist in communication meetings – key performance measures, safety, quality, etc.  Leads discussion and brings up issues confronting the team.  Not hesitant to confront sensitive issues.  Has the attitude all issues need to be resolved, not left hanging.

Education:

  •   Must possess HS Diploma or GED

Skills:

  • Must be able to work as a member of a team, have high energy levels and be able to work well under pressure
  • Must possess good communication skills
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English in order to communicate and understand relevant information relating to quality and production issues
  • Must possess basic PC skills

Characteristics :

  • Can do attitude. Will readily work with area shorthanded, or pick up additional need equipment. Can work somewhat unsupervised for short periods of time.
  • Has a good overall performance record (plus attendance record) within established guidelines. Basically sets a good example with their work ethic.
  • Is respected, and looked upon, by the team as a leader. Ability to do all aspects of the job (within job category) within the work center. Willingly accepts responsibility.
  • Coordinates schedules and changeovers efficiently. Works with engineering mechanic to efficiently run and coordinate pilot and sample runs. Coordinates pilots to assure least impact on work center productivity.
  • Utilizes people on the team to the best of their abilities. (Best person for a particular job)
  • Attempts to deal with minor personnel issues. Knows when to get supervisor involved. Constantly advises the supervisor of issue which may be brewing in their area.
  • Active participation in team meetings. Leads the discussion, and brings up issues confronting the team. Not hesitant to confront sensitive issues. Has the attitude all issues need to be resolved, not left hanging.
  • Communicates to team new procedures, meeting times and dates, special events, etc. Must have overall good communication skills.
  • Is proactive in implementing change-not a road block.
  • Keeps up with schedule changes, and communicates these to team.
  • Works well and communicates with teams leaders from oncoming and outgoing shifts.
  • Shows sound judgment and problem solving skills.
