Position Summary

The Compensation Analyst is part of the Global Compensation team which oversees the strategy, management and development of compensation programmes and initiatives.  The role will support on compensation execution to ensure the business has effective compensation practices, as well as working on EMEA specific and global projects.

 

Primary Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Global scope (but major focus across EMEA).  Countries in scope primarily are France, Germany, Italy, UK, Czech Republic, Spain, Russia.  Global projects encompass North America, EMEA, LATAM and Asia.
  • Administration and management of global job architecture, managing audits for new hires and role changes.  Able to evaluate and implement job analysis instruments and materials.
  • Ability to conduct job analyses – including internal comparisons, comparisons to market, etc.  Can benchmark jobs against survey data and other market intelligence to determine competitive compensation ranges for each position.
  • Responsible for data analyses, at times with large datasets – e.g., for competitive pay positioning, budget/cost analysis etc.
  • Responsible for compensation analyses – salary range modeling, STI/LTI impact modeling etc.
  • Supporting on the bonus payout and merit review processes including assistance with market pricing, analytics for management and supporting on the communication processes.
  • Benchmark survey submissions to providers – able to gather and compile data, requesting information from Compensation & Benefit Reward leads or HR Managers as required.  First point of contact for survey providers during submission period.
  • Ability to interpret data from market-based compensation surveys; using spreadsheet and data analysis techniques to assess results and market trends.
  • Ability to prepare and present summary reports of job analysis and compensation analysis information.
  • System reporting – able to run reports and ensure data integrity.
  • Manages governance by conducting audits.
  • Some interaction with HR teams, particularly across EMEA and with Regional Compensation & Benefit Leads. 
  • Performs other related duties as required
  • Some travel may be required but very limited

 

Skills/experience required

  • Approximately 2+ years experience as a Reward/Compensation Analyst
  • Strong data analysis skills, comfortable working with large datasets
  • Strong English is essential (French considered advantageous)
  • Strong Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables and pivot charts, IF functions, other complex formulas)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and to deadlines, organising own workload
  • Excellent attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy, coupled with the ability to see the bigger picture
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
  • Some experience with Success Factors could be advantageous but not required
