Position Summary

The Compensation Manager is part of the Global Compensation team which oversees the strategy, management and development of compensation programmes and initiatives.  The role will be accountable for managing Reward for a cluster of business units, building relationships with HR Managers and supporting compensation execution to ensure the business has effective compensation practices.

Primary Responsibilities and Tasks

• Countries in scope primarily are France, Germany, Italy, UK, Czech Republic, Spain, Russia.  Global projects encompass North America, EMEA, LATAM and Asia.
• Build and lead relationships with key sites/countries being the primary point of contact for general queries.  Represent the Reward function to business leaders within assigned perimeter.
• Keep abreast of reward related trends (eg. market hot topics, regulatory trends)
• Knowledge of pay transparency practices
• Management of certain elements of reward key cycles such as salary planning and bonus payouts
• Support on management of global job architecture, managing audits for new hires and role changes.  Able to evaluate and implement job analysis instruments and materials for their population.
• Ability to conduct job analyses – including internal comparisons, comparisons to market, etc.  Can benchmark jobs against survey data and other market intelligence to determine competitive compensation ranges for each position.
• Responsible for data analyses, at times with large datasets – e.g., for competitive pay positioning, budget/cost analysis etc.
• Responsible for compensation analyses – salary range modeling, STI/LTI impact modeling etc.
• Supporting on the bonus payout and merit review processes including assistance with market pricing, analytics for management and supporting on the communication processes. 
• Ability to interpret data from market-based compensation surveys; using spreadsheet and data analysis techniques to assess results and market trends.
• Ability to prepare and present summary reports of job analysis and compensation analysis information.
• System reporting – able to run reports and ensure data integrity.
• Manages governance by conducting audits.
• Performs other related duties as required, likely with the assistance of a team Compensation Analyst
• Some travel may be required but limited

Skills/experience required

• Approximately 5+ years experience in Reward/Compensation
• Strong data analysis skills, comfortable working with large datasets
• Strong English is essential (other European languages considered advantageous)
• Strong Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables and pivot charts, IF functions, other complex formulas)
• Evidence of relationship building with stakeholders
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work autonomously and to deadlines, organising own workload
• Excellent attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy, coupled with the ability to see the bigger picture
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
• Some experience with Success Factors could be advantageous but not required
