Primary Purpose Summary

The primary purpose of the IS Purchasing and Procurement Expert is to identify potential opportunities where Information Systems can assist the Aptar Planning and Purchasing organizations and put them into action. This role requires to be involved in programs & projects execution leading the technical and business discussions. This person needs to be adaptable and able to handle customer relationships, to collaborate with all areas of Information Systems as well as with the entire Aptar organization.

This position requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise as well as an innovative, self-starter, entrepreneurial team player mindset. This means one day the role may require working on projects and enhancements and the next day leading an effort to address an immediate issue.

The person, in this role, is recognized as an expert in IS Procurement / Purchasing area within the organization. She/He is capable interprets internal or external business issues and recommends solutions or best practices, solves complex problems, identifies solutions. She/He leverages functional knowledge and existing methodologies to solve complex problems.

In addition, this person works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations/decisions. She/he leads programs / projects and serves as a best practice/quality resource, guides others in resolving complex issues in specialized area based on existing solutions and procedures, trains or mentors junior staff members.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with our partners to understand their needs and translate those needs into solutions.
  • Potentially leads programs/projects and changes delivery by coordinating the resources and working with the delivery manager to secure delivery budget and quality.
  • Daily communication with the key team members and breaking down barriers.
  • Ensures the right people are assembled to solve an issue. This means set up a Teams call or in-person meeting if all at the same location and get the decision made.
  • Prepare & Lead IS/Business communities.

 

Skills (Hard skills)

  • Ability to deliver solution provided within the Delivery Management domain of Procurement and Purchasing (SAP & ARIBA)
  • Fiori app. Knowledge (activation, development & support)
  • Knowledge on Customer Services solutions (not expert)
  • Ability to deal with technology evolution.
  • Ability to follow technology trend and methodology that will continue to evolve the services capabilities. 
  • Ability to understand the customer needs and to build effective process to support these needs.
  • Must understand the products this domain is implementing and supports to be able to truly understand the pain points and possible evolutions.
  • High leadership and mentoring skills
  • Able to work well with others as a teammate or Task Lead

Education

  • Master’s degree of Science (Computer Technology, Engineering, Supply Chain or Equivalent) or at least three years in similar position

Desired Experience

  • Experience in Purchasing/Procurement processes solutions implementations in ARIBA and in SAP
  • Project Management experience.
  • Experience on Customer Services solutions implementation would be a plus.
  • Experience on Trade & Custom Compliance is also welcome.
