This HVAC Chiller Mechanic will monitor facilities equipment within our Industrial and Manufacturing work environment for proper operation with the goal of maintaining a high-level of reliability, peak efficiency, and strict adherence to all regulatory requirements

What You Will Do At Aptar Pharma:


  • Repair and continually improve all aspects of the plant’s mechanical and utility systems.
  • Comply with current Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Ensure operation of facility machinery & mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements following diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications, troubleshooting malfunctions, calling for repairs, and evaluating new equipment & techniques.
  • Document actions by completing maintenance logs and checklists
  • Work closely with outside vendors and contractors to ensure work is correct and complete.
  • Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems using precision measuring tools and equipment.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with company procedures, rules and regulations, and report any dangerous situations or malfunction of equipment.
  • HVAC
    • EPA 608 Certification
    • Testing & Air Balancing
    • Troubleshooting, diagnosing and making repairs to a large variety of equipment and systems that provide a variety of air-conditioning functions, such as heating, cooling, humidification, dehumidification and air cleaning, filtering, circulation and pressurization
    • Knowledge of components of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment (e.g., refrigerant, compressor, condenser coil, expansion valve, evaporator coil) to assess HVAC operation and repair malfunctioning systems.
    • HVAC Controls, Direct Digital Control, Building Management System,
  • Chillers -  repair, maintain including and manage treatment water program
  • High Pressure Boilers & Steam Delivery


What Aptar Pharma Is Looking For:

  • 5+ years of HVAC mechanical troubleshooting experience
  • 3+ years in a maintenance/manufacturing environment
  • Technical School Certification
  • Valid license with Refrigerants and Cooling Equipment and Refrigerant Recovery and Recycling Equipment Certification
  • Proven ability to communicate orally and in writing with management, peers, project team members, and vendors
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision maintain proper documentation
  • Computer Skills - CMMS, SCADA/HMI, Word, Outlook
  • Ability to use written reference materials refers to the ability to locate, read, and comprehend text material such as handbooks, manuals, bulletins, directives, checklists, and route sheets
  • Ability to communicate in writing refers to transmitting written information (e.g., equipment status, recommended repairs) to maintenance, operations, and other personnel. 
  • Ability to communicate orally refers to receiving and transmitting oral information (such as equipment status, recommended repairs or modifications, parts usage, and technical procedures) to and from maintenance, production, and other departments.
  • Ability to follow instructions refers to the ability to comprehend and execute written and oral instructions such as work orders, checklists, route sheets, and verbal directions and instructions”
  • Ability to troubleshoot apply effective analytical and problem-solving skills,

    • Ability to detect patterns
    • Ability to observe and analyze qualitative and quantitative factors
    • Interpret compliance requirements
    • Identify opportunities for process and/or system improvements
    • Ability to tune or optimize environmental systems
    • Monitor and log readings for critical equipment and processes
  • Ability to work on Roof Tops and from heights performing all duties safely and efficiently the duties of the position above floor level such as from ladders, catwalks, walkways, scaffolds, vertical lifts, and platforms.
  • Ability to work in Cleanroom environment
  • Consistently wear all required PPE and gowning when performing all job duties and work requests
  • Ability to recognize and abate safety hazards and follow all safety rules and processes consistently
  • Osha 10-hour construction industry training
