Job Summary

By playing an active role in the NA Talent Management Team, the positon of NA People and Career Development Manager provides the full range of specific talent management expertise and services in order to meet the needs of the business. This role is a key Business Partner to the respective assigned segments and/or Business Units for the region.  The role supports the evolution of employees’ careers, together with the respective leadership, relying on the programs, processes and tools designed for people development to meet both individual aspirations as well as current and future business needs.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  1. Key Business Partner with assigned business stakeholders to provide a full service of talent and career development solutions
  2. Ensures that yearly succession planning and people review processes (including quarterly talent review updates) are conducted across all assigned segments within the region and in strong cooperation with other HR regional teams. Leads people review sessions as appropriate, including oversight of assigned site sessions. 
  3. Ensures and supports the annual performance appraisal process for M&Ps is conducted properly at the site level and has an overview of the training and development needs, including providing support in areas of leadership coaching for performance management needs.
  4. Provides a broad range of consultative services using the full set of development tools to effectively address business requests (e.g. IDPs, Talent Assessments, Assignments, Professional Career Interviews, coaching, mentoring, INSIGHTS, EI360s, Diversity and Inclusion facilitation and leadership support, etc.)
  5. Working with business leaders for development and execution of assigned career progression path options, promoting employee growth opportunities that align with business needs.
  6. In alignment with global Diversity and Inclusion leader, lead and/or support various D&I initiatives within the region as assigned, including workshop facilitation and other training activities.
  7. In alignment with regional and global efforts, identification and coordination of role competencies, including job description compliance elements.
  8. Evaluates and provides reports regarding the effectiveness of people development activities, meeting identified KPIs. 
  9. HiPo related processes governance and oversight as assigned
  10. Ensures execution of aligned People Development strategies, processes, and tools across assigned areas in the region.
  11. Aligns and coordinates with other key Talent Management pillars to ensure full service effectiveness to meet business needs. 

 

Education

  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or related field minimum; Masters Degree preferred
  • Formal professional HR certifications related to role a plus

Experience/Abilities

  • Minimum 5 years proven experience related to managing and facilitating people and career development efforts to achieve results
  • Experience with talent analytics systems; Successfactors preferred
  • Experience in working with multiple sites across the region preferred
  • Leadership experience, including role of HR Business Partner.
  • Experience with identification of role competencies utilizing best practices to ensure holistic approach that meet business needs. 
  • Experience in creation of materials as well as leading facilitation of various development discussions and workshops in areas such as  coaching, performance management, Diversity and Inclusion concepts, and overall leadership growth.

  • Strong project management skills to effectively manage multiple projects/process improvement initiatives concurrently and achieving deliverables tied to business needs.
  • Strong customer focus with the ability to effectively and quickly build relationships and establish trust, respect, and confidence
