Specialist, Finance Enablement
Reports to: Director, Finance Enablement
Location: US – hybrid working with proximity to Crystal Lake/Chicago preferred
Travel: yes – amount of travel dependent on home location
The Finance Enablement team exists to drive the advancement of the global Finance organization at Aptar through improvements in processes, technologies and capabilities.
The Specialist, Finance Enablement will act as a catalyst for change across the global finance community. This role is responsible for identifying pain points, bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and manual activities across finance processes and helping design, test, and implement innovative solutions that improve effectiveness, standardization, automation, and user experience.
This is not a traditional finance role. We are looking for someone who thrives when faced with a blank page, enjoys challenging the status quo, and is energized by emerging technologies, particularly AI. The successful candidate will continuously bring external ideas and best practices into the organization, experiment with new approaches, and help translate innovation into practical business impact. The ideal candidate is naturally curious and highly driven, technology-forward, and comfortable operating in ambiguity.
Additionally, the Specialist, Finance Enablement will collaborate with other teams to design and deliver comprehensive training programs for global Finance colleagues.
Job Responsibilities
As Specialist, Finance Enablement, You Will:
- Research, evaluate, and implement solutions that advance the capabilities of the finance function at Aptar. Drive adoption and monitor impact.
- Identify and address:
- Opportunities to improve the visibility of financial data and insights for executive decision makers.
- Gaps in standardization and harmonization of financial reporting and analysis between segments.
- Bottlenecks, inefficiencies and manual activities across global finance processes.
- Opportunities to extract additional value from existing systems and tools including AI tools.
- Serve as a scout for emerging ideas, technologies, and industry-leading practices.
- Help identify and scale high-value AI use cases across finance.
- Contribute to building awareness, training, and communities of practice around emerging technologies.
Who We are Looking For
Education
- Required: College or university business degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Computer Science or a related analytical field
- Preferred: MBA or comparable degree
Required:
Experience
- 3+ years of experience in finance, and computer science and/or data science.
- Experience of integrated business planning preferred.
- Proven track record of driving process improvements and automation.
- Experience with tools such as SAP, Power BI, Power Automate, Databricks, Alteryx, Tableau, Anaplan, SAP Analytics Cloud, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with and strong interest in AI and other emerging technologies.
- Experience participating in transformation, change management, or continuous improvement initiatives.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $73,000 - $100,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
