Job Title: Operations Controlling Specialist

Location: Dortmund & Menden

Job Summary: The Operations Controlling Specialist is responsible for supporting various financial and operational processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Closing:

• Support the monthly closing process in SAP and prepare reports and analyses regarding cost center expenses, purchase price variances, industrial variances, scrap, inventory changes, and quality costs using existing reports and analyses in SAP and Excel.
• Conduct SOX tests as part of the monthly closing process.

Ad-hoc Analyses / Daily Operations:

• Perform ad-hoc analyses using existing reports and key figures in collaboration with the Controlling Manager and relevant interfaces.
• Participate in and contribute to meetings and workshops with Operations and Supply Chain.

Product Cost Updates:

• Calculate new parts in SAP based on the entered master data and subsequently verify against comparable items.
• Support quarterly updates of product calculations based on AptarGroup guidelines, updating purchase prices, and recalculating in SAP.

Quotation Pricing:

• Assist in calculating quotation prices for the Sales and Marketing department by modifying existing products.
• Determine intercompany prices based on manufacturing costs and surcharges.

Continuous Improvement:

• Collaborate with local teams and the Continuous Improvement (CI) function to identify and implement improvements.
• Calculate potential savings based on information provided by the CI department.

Your Profile:

• Completed commercial training, e.g., industrial clerk as well as successful further training in the field of controlling (e.g., Controlling Specialist)
• First work experience in operations controlling, ideally in an industrial environment
• Knowledge and skills in financial analysis and reporting
• Proficiency in SAP and Excel
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
• Proficiency in both English and German
