Position Summary

Responsible for managing and growing assigned business for Aptar Beauty segment to meeting unit, revenue, and sustainable profitability targets. Drive growth within your portfolio by identifying new opportunities within customer accounts and developing new prospects within targeted markets. Work closely with Marketing to grow sales of expansive product portfolio, new technologies, and new applications to support the Beauty segment goals.


Job Elements

  • Account management of a specific customer, or customers, including the following:
  • Meet or exceed budget for defined portfolio (revenue, quantity, profitability).
  • Establish and maintain meeting and project objectives.
  • Application of sales methodology processes and tools.
  • Develop a deep knowledge and understanding of your customers (needs, problems, people, opportunities, etc), and execute a plan to improve penetration and value creation.
  • Establish a cadence of meetings and engagements with your customers and reinforce with defined follow-up communication and actions.
  • Sell Aptar products to maximize profitability and increase market and customer share.
  • Lead the organization in creating and sustaining our competitive advantage with your customers. Proactively involve the necessary internal resources to effectively manage your business and set the standard for service excellence.
  • Make our responsiveness a competitive advantage.
  • Establish targeted customer pricing, as necessary, and prepare/present quotations and proposals to convert business opportunities within our pricing structure.
  • Sell/upgrade our current customers into new products and development opportunities that increase profitability and reduce competitive threat.
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews with strategic customers and with customers where sales exceed $1 million annually.
  • Develop meaningful relationships with key personnel.
  • Penetrate targeted list of prospective customers in targeted application fields
  • Learn new product and technical knowledge, strengthen selling skills, and expand insights into our competition.


Required Qualifications



  • College or University Degree, concentration in Business or Engineering preferred
  • Preferred:  MBA or comparable degree


  • 5 years or more of account management and/or business development experience



  • Demonstrated ability to achieve sustained results and drive new business opportunities.
  • Results-oriented and independent business-development mindset focused on commercial initiatives that support growth strategies.
  • Strategic thinker to creatively address customer/market needs and challenges.
  • Relationship development capability.
  • Basic technical proficiency to understand relevant technology and recognize how these can be applied to generate more effective and efficient customer engagement.

  • Self-motivated personality with effective time-management skills and the ability to operate effectively in a remote setting (home-office based)
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Naturally curious.


Travel Requirements                                   

  • Minimal to Frequent depending on assigned customer portfolio and home-office location.
  • Some flexibility possible dependent on experience, industry network, and availability.
