The IS Senior Specialist – SAP Finance (FICO) is responsible for the end-to-end delivery, optimization, and operational excellence of global finance solutions, acting as a subject matter expert and strategic partner to Finance and Business stakeholders.

This role provides deep functional and technical expertise across SAP S/4HANA Finance and related financial platforms, supporting projects, enhancements, and run activities, while driving process standardization, automation, and continuous improvement.

Beyond Finance applications, the role requires a strong end-to-end process mindset, deep integration knowledge, and a clear understanding of the current and target system landscape architecture, contributing to architecture strategy definition and transformation initiatives.

The Senior Specialist acts as a referent within the IS organization, mentors colleagues, and coordinates functional resources within projects or domain teams, contributing actively to global governance and delivery excellence.

THIS IS HOW YOUR JOURNEY BEGINS

Solution Delivery & Change Management
•    Support and lead project and change delivery by performing business analysis, solution design, effort estimation, configuration, testing, and deployment.•    Translate complex business requirements into robust, scalable SAP Finance solutions aligned with global standards and best practices.
•    Deliver project and software change activities within the SAP Finance domain, ensuring quality, compliance, and timeline adherence.
Global Template & Core Finance Ownership
•    Act as guardian of the global Finance template, ensuring process consistency, data quality, and control across regions and business segments.
•    Evaluate and manage template deviations, balancing global governance with justified local business needs.
•    Ensure strong integration between SAP Finance and other SAP and non SAP systems.
Run, Support & Continuous Improvement
•    Own and manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for SAP Finance within the IS Support model.
•    Drive continuous solution improvement in collaboration with IS Delivery Managers and Business Process & Information Management (BPIM).
•    Proactively identify opportunities for process simplification, automation, and performance improvement, promoting best in class finance processes.
Stakeholder Partnership & Value Creation
•    Act as a trusted partner to Finance and Controlling stakeholders, recommending solution enhancements that deliver measurable business value.
•    Promote adoption of standard solutions and new capabilities through effective communication, documentation, and user enablement.
•    Participate in budget planning, forecasting, and actuals execution for the Finance IS domain, explaining variances and supporting cost transparency.
Leadership & Knowledge Sharing
•    Coordinate and guide functional resources within projects or functional teams.
•    Serve as a reference point for SAP Finance expertise within IS, actively sharing knowledge and mentoring colleagues.
•    Contribute to target architecture definition and roadmap discussions for the Finance application landscape.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING ON THE JOURNEY

SAP Finance & Core ERP Expertise
•    Deep functional expertise in SAP S/4HANA Finance (FI/CO) across implementation, rollout, and support scenarios.•    Strong understanding of end to end finance processes and accounting principles (IFRS / local GAAP).
•    Proven experience with global SAP templates and multi country deployments.
SAP Fiori & User Experience
•    Strong knowledge of SAP Fiori Apps for Finance, including role based Fiori applications for accounting, controlling, and reporting.
•    Ability to support and promote Fiori based user experiences, aligning UX design with standardized SAP processes.
SAP Automation & Workflow Enablement
•    Ability to identify and design finance automation opportunities, leveraging SAP automation and workflow capabilities.
•    Experience extending SAP S/4HANA Finance processes using side by side automation approaches (e.g., SAP Build Process Automation) to improve efficiency and control.
SAP Business AI – Joule & AI Enablement
•    Working knowledge of SAP Joule as an embedded AI copilot across SAP applications, supporting: 
o    informational (insights, explanations),
o    navigational (guided access),
o    transactional (execution support) use cases.
•    Ability to collaborate with business teams to apply AI enabled capabilities in the flow of work.
AI Agents & Joule Studio (Awareness & Exposure)
•    Understanding of Joule Agents and their role in automating complex, multi step business workflows.
•    Awareness of the distinction between Joule Skills (atomic, predefined actions) and Joule Agents (adaptive, goal driven execution).
•    Exposure to Joule Studio concepts for extending AI capabilities through skills and agents.
Integration & Architecture
•    Strong understanding of integration points between SAP Finance and other SAP modules (MM, SD, HR) and third party systems.
•    Ability to understand and contribute to current and target system landscape architecture.

•    Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, or equivalent or minimum *7 years of experience in a similar role
•    SAP FI/CO Certification is a strong plus
•    Fluent in English, additional languages (French, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish) are an asset

Experience
•    7+ years of end to end SAP Finance implementation experience•    Participation in at least 3 global SAP S/4HANA enterprise implementations
•    Strong experience in international and global project environments
•    Experience in Packaging / Manufacturing / Molding industries is a plus
