Manager, Supply Chain, NA Beauty
Reports to: Director, Planning and Customer Service, NA Beauty
Location: Queretaro, Mexico*
*No relocation provided for this position. All candidates must be authorized to work in Mexico.
The Supply Chain Manager will serve as an on-site leader and liaison between NA Beauty and the Queretaro site. The position will provide guidance and coaching to implement best practices within the site, driving key performance indicators and promoting a customer-focused and continuous improvement culture. This role will also have dotted-line direct reports in the buyer and customer service functions.
As a Supply Chain Manager for NA Beauty, You Will:
- Serve as on-site liaison between NA Beauty and the Queretaro site to ensure alignment on production plans, quality standards and supply chain performance.
- Monitor KPI’s for NA Beauty business sourced from Queretaro to include, OTIF, lead times, and quality incidents.
- Lead and support implementation of continuous improvement initiatives and corrective actions.
- Participate in daily production meetings, customer visits, monthly business reviews and S&OP reviews.
- Coordinate with production teams to ensure timely completion of manufacturing processes and adherence to schedules.
- Implement improvements to streamline workflows, reduce lead times, and enhance overall efficiency in production and inventory control.
- As a people manager, the SCM will coordinate with the NA Beauty functional manager to create Individual Development Plans and support career growth for the dotted line reports. Lead training initiatives driving skill sets needed to meet performance targets.
- Function as a supply chain escalation point and drive resolution of issues that prevent orders from being fulfilled completely and on time.
- Collaborate with multiple-functional managers and global planning teams to implement good planning practices including time fencing and level loading.
- Manage stakeholder communication and expectations.
- Identify, document, and implement best practices.
- Actively participate in and lead continuous improvement projects and may lead project teams.
- Other duties as assigned, according to the changing needs of the business
Who We are Looking For
Education
- Required: Bachelor’s degree preferred in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Management, or Operations Management; or equivalent experience as determined by management
- Preferred: MBA or comparable degree
Required Experience
- 5 years experience within procurement, planning, operations or logistics discipline in a manufacturing environment.
- 3 years of experience in a leadership position of increasing responsibility within the supply chain.
Required Skills / Abilities
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
- Excellent critical thinking and project management skills with the ability to solve complex business problems through fact gathering, business process mapping, and data analysis.
- Strong relationship building skills.
- Ability to manage effectively and drive results in a fast-paced environment Strong financial acumen
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills to all levels of an organization
Preferred Skills/Abilities
- Experience in SAP preferred
- Experience in SAP’s Advanced Planning and Optimization Module (APO) preferred
- APICS CPIM certification
- Experience with Project Management
