WHAT'S NEW AT APTAR 

We have an exciting position open at Aptar Querétaro: Master Data Administrator - AMERICAS, GMDG, reporting to the Master Data Team Lead, GMDG, GBS. This position is based in Queretaro, México.

The Master Data Administrator will focus on creating and maintaining Material Masters, BOMs, Routings, Production Versions, and Packaging Instructions for various Aptar sites in the Americas.  This role will work closely with the local sites (the requestors) and bring new and improved efficiencies to standardize data maintenance to follow similar practices of setting-up, storing data consistently, and following similar processes across these various Aptar sites. 

This role is based in Aptar Mexico-Queretaro, one of Aptar’s GBS (Global Business Services) centers to leverage synergies in working with other departments housed in the same center. 

THIS IS HOW HIS JOURNEY BEGINS.

  • Work with a team specializing in SAP data related to Material Masters, BOMs, Routings, Production Versions, and Packaging Instructions from creation through utilization
  • Perform data consistency checks
  • Support and Interact with requestors (local sites) to clarify master data creation or maintenance needs
  • Understand overall end-to-end Material Master Data processes to ensure Master Data is efficiently maintained, harmonized, and accurate
  • Troubleshoot and proactively identify issues, analyze reasons for data error, correct and perform root cause analysis + elaborate corrective action plans
  • Export and summarize data relating to material master data for multiple functional areas of the company using queries and reports
  • Support the Global Master Data Governance Team and cross-train with other team members to further enhance value to the organization
  • Create & update less complex work instructions
  • Support future Master Data projects
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within GMDG/GBS
  • Implements automation for GMDG processes
  • Organize and lead meetings with the team and other areas
  • Deputy of team lead in case of absence
  • Support onboarding of new team members
  • Create & update complex work instructions and documentation
  • Approves work instructions for level 1 and 2 admins

 

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING ON THE TRIP 

  • University degree or Apprenticeship (preferably in Supply Chain, Business, Science or Math)
  • Fluency in English required, verbal and written (B2-level or above in English)
  • Fluency in Portuguese or other foreign language skills, a plus
  • 2 years of work experience in supply chain or a global team specialized in ERP processes, a plus

Skills/Abilities – MUST HAVES

  • Data entry experience in an ERP system
  • SAP experience, a plus
  • 1 year of experience required for the Junior level
  • Teamwork / Cooperation
  • Reports to work when scheduled and on time
  • Accepts and responds to constructive criticism and suggestions
  • Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team
  • High degree of self-motivation and ability to work well independently
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office solutions (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • The role may require some small travel
  • Visa for travel to the US, a plus
  • Understands and practices safe working procedures
  • Observes safety rules and policies; brings to managements’ attention any unsafe acts or conditions
