What’s new with Aptar

We have an exciting position open in México: EHS Engineer for our Beauty facility in Mexico, reporting to our EHS Manager Beauty Latam. This position will be based in Queretaro - Mexico, and will create and implement the Health and Safety Strategy, keeping our people aware about the importance of Safety within our daily tasks.

 

This is how your journey begins.

 

  • Prepare and submit all required environmental permit applications and renewals and routine agency reports, e.g., air emissions, water and waste water, hazardous and toxic waste, spills and releases, hazardous material/substance inventories, giving the proper support for Queretato, Cali and Berazategui.
  • Coordinate all plant waste disposal activity to ensure compliance with applicable regulations in addition to the other aspects of Eco-efficiency, like Water and Energy usage.
  • Develop and maintain plant emergency response plan and ensures drills are performed to document plan effectiveness.
  • Align with the Local needs and the Regional EHS&S Strategy create and implement the Regional EHS&S Strategy.
  • Supports and/or directs the plant’s ISO 22716 / 50001 / 14001 / OSHAS 18001 / ISO 45001 / LandFill Free
  • Ensures required employee environmental and safety training is completed on time and documented. May perform training.
  • Develop and implements plant programs, policies and procedures.

 

 

 

 

What you will bring on the journey

Education

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Degree in industrial, manufacturing, or chemical engineering, chemistry, environmental engineering, industrial hygiene, safety, or equivalent.
  • Intermediary English Level (Mandatory).

 

Experience:

  • Detailed comprehension of industry/state/country-specific environmental, health, and safety requirements.
  • Knowledge and training for, EMS, EHS, and Sustainability systems development and deployment.
  • Understanding of manufacturing technologies and processes.
  • Knowledge of how to influence groups of people at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to direct and lead cross-functional process improvement teams.
