Aptar designs and manufactures a broad range of drug delivery, consumer product dispensing and active material science solutions. Aptar’s organizational structure consists of three Business segments: Beauty, Pharma and Closures. Beauty Segment mainly sells dispensing pumps (spray pumps, lotion pumps, airless pumps), aerosol and applicators for the fragrance, make up and skin care markets.
THIS IS HOW YOUR JOURNEY BEGINS:
The primary role of the Global Trade Compliance Specialist is to ensure that the international trade of Aptar adheres to the rules and regulations that govern importing and exporting goods between countries.
This position is a key contributor in designing and building our processes and tools for Trade Compliance. The position reports to the Manager of Global Trade Compliance and maintains communication with various other organizations within the company. This role will be focus on North America and Latam regions considering a global harmonization of the process.
- Answering the day-to-day requests sent to Global Trade Compliance Team, in collaboration with Global Trade Compliance team and any other involved personnel, on topics related to global trade compliance (e.g. tariff classification, country of origin, trade barriers, etc.).
- Performing monthly analysis of broker, Customs and internal data to ensure maximum cost savings in Free Trade Agreements, Free Trade Zones where applicable, and other duty exemptions.
- Ensuring internal and external trade compliance processes, policies and requirements are followed globally in all Aptar locations.
- Supporting supply chain teams to address queries from Customs authorities, draft responses where necessary and ensure minimization of risk.
- Assisting in internal and external audits of trade compliance program, policies and procedures.
- Assuring correct management of Bonds Reports, CF-28 and CF-29, Trump Tariffs (301) administration, ACE Portal, Custom Brokers and Binding Rulings overview.
- Promoting a Global Trade Compliance mindset and approach throughout the region, supporting the development of a world class, continuous improvement organization.
Long-term Project:
- Monitoring and auditing the use of proper Harmonized Tariff System codes: this will imply determining products’ HS code and / or assisting local site personnel in determining the correct HS code.
- Monitoring and auditing the correct usage of Free Trade agreements: this will imply determining country of origin and preparing documents as needed or as requested by customers.
- Creating and/or maintaining the global trade compliance manual that outlines all policies, procedures, and organizational structures needed to comply with changing governmental regulations (of multiple countries).
- Managing worldwide security programs such as C-TPAT (Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism) and AEO (Authorized Economic Operator).Position Locations: Queretaro, Mexico.

- Fluency in English required
- Diploma Import / export customs management or Customs broker certificate a plus
- Strong excel skills
- SAP experience a plus
