What’s new with Aptar

 We have an exciting position open in France: Flexible Product Development, Senior Engineer. This person, reporting directly to the VP CSP & Flexible BD will be responsible for the product development and customer technical support, working in strict collaboration with the Sales, Customers, Marketing , raw materials suppliers and Aptar local Technical services.


This is how your journey begins

  • Responsibility for new product development project management through Stage Gate process for technical feasibility and validation
  • Ensuring efficient Project Management in time, quality and cost
  • Being the prescriptor for the product features and aligning with other functions (e.g. which closures and features for type of pouch and application fields)
  • Working on the collection of closures solutions for pouches with the other centers of expertise (e.g. other segments or regions or Application Fields)
  • In charge of patent research registration with innovation and development teams while contributing to the development of the IP strategy
  • Identifying partners and designing partnership with relevant machine manufacturers and film producers
  • In charge of estimating the cost for the industrial investments requirements with the support of the DDC and cost controller


What you will bring on the journey

  • University Degree related science, engineering or technical discipline (Material Engineering or Chemistry)
  • At least 5 years of related experience, preferably in the flexible packaging or FMCG industry
  • A great command of the English, other languages would be an asset
  • Technical knowledge on packaging materials and converting processes as well as on packaging machines with significant experience in the flexible market
  • Solid understanding of overall business goals and business acumen
  • Strong project management experience and working experience with international clients, including capability to navigate such large/complex organizations to develop key relationships and drive results
  • Curiosity, questioning and listening mode, in additional to ability to absorb and extract the relevant information
  • Available to travel frequently

Location Statement
