The Sr. quality engineer (QA) is responsible for quality management system set up and maintenance to ensure Guangzhou plant remains in a high-level standard of quality management by good understanding of regulation requirement and customer expectation. He/she has CI mindset and capable of driving kaizen project for quality and production performance improvement.
Requirements:

Quality Management System (QMS) (30%)
-
Manage and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) documentation, including procedures, work instructions, and records.

Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and customer expectations.

Implement changes to the QMS based on audit findings, customer feedback, and industry standards.

Build close connectivity with other side for benchmark and best practice sharing.

Quality Assurance (30%)
-
Develop and implement quality assurance strategies, policies, and procedures for manufacturing processes.

Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations (e.g. ISO 9001/QS/FSSC22000).

Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve quality issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions.

Analyse quality data and metrics to drive continuous improvement in product quality and process efficiency.

Develop and conduct training programs on quality standards, procedures, and tools for manufacturing personnel.

Continuous Improvement (20%)

Lead continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma or Kaizen.

Facilitate cross-functional teams to identify process inefficiencies, waste, and opportunities for improvement.

Implement data-driven solutions to optimize manufacturing processes, reduce defects, and enhance productivity.

Drive a culture of continuous improvement by promoting best practices and fostering innovation.

Production management (15%)
-
Coordinate with planning team to ensure efficient utilization of resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials.

Monitor production process, identify bottlenecks or issues and implement corrective actions to optimize efficiency and productivity.

Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure adherence to safety regulations, quality standards, and operational procedures.

Maintain accurate production records, reports, and documentation.

Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or above.
- Over 8 years quality working experience, at least 5 years QA experience in food or food packaging manufacturing.
- Proven experience in quality assurance, continuous improvement, and process optimization within a manufacturing environment, has experience in production management is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems, standards, and methodologies (e.g., ISO9001, QS, LSS)
- Experience with data analysis tools and techniques for performance measurement and decision-making.
- Excellent project management skills, including planning, execution, and evaluation of improvement projects.
- Effective communication, leadership, and teamwork abilities to drive change and achieve results.
- Industrial engineering education background and work experience is preferred.
- Fluent in English.
- Excellent logical thinking and problem solving.
