POSITION SUMMARY:

As the primary commercial point of contact for a set of existing brands, the Account Manager is responsible for building relationships and achieving established organic growth objectives. Also responsible for the development and execution of Key Account strategies, working closely with Business Development to qualify leads and convert opportunities, with support from Client Service team, and maintain close involvement with select projects.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Achieve targeted incremental revenue growth across assigned accounts.
  • Collaborate with Business Development and Client Services teams to build and lead the execution of customized strategies for Key Accounts.  Foster teamwork, build raving fans and expand Noble’s network and relationships within each account.
  • Devise tactics to establish account reorder pattern and execute replenishment strategies, including establishing relationships with account agencies/distribution centers as applicable.
  • Build and maintain client relationships within assigned accounts via regular face to face and virtual meetings (Product Managers, Brand Managers, Commercial Teams, Drug Delivery, Packaging Engineers, Procurement), including facilitating introductions and meetings at multiple levels of engagement.
  • Identify new sales opportunities via customer product lifecycle activities and new product introductions.
  • Identify challenges that Noble’s products and core services can solve, with a goal of increasing company revenue and maximizing value to the customer by sharing expertise and best practices.
  • Actively participate in internal initiatives to refine team business practices and respond to customer feedback.
  • Conduct professional and informative sales presentations to educate customer on latest Noble developments and initiatives.
  • Communicate customer goals and represent customer interests to Noble (serve as the Voice of the Customer) with the goal of increasing overall revenue and maximizing value to the customer.
  • Maintain excellent product and applicable market segment knowledge and communicate industry/product/competitive developments to Noble teams.
  • Provide monthly metrics on account activities.
  • Ensure accurate and complete information is captured in customer relationship management system.
  • Attend industry events and Client Service team-led customer project meetings.

 

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, Skills):

  • BS in Engineering, Biomedical or related scientific field, or Business Degree with strong technical interest
  • 5+ years of account management experience in the B2B pharmaceutical industry segment
  • Strong negotiation skills, with ability to follow-through
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and manage more than one client account
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills; must be a good listener and a confident presenter 
  • Demonstrate a proficiency in business vocabulary to effectively represent the company to outside parties, lead complex technical and business discussions, and influence internal and external stakeholders.
  • Motivated and goal oriented, with a high level of initiative and discipline
  • Handle stressful situations and deadline pressures well
  • Plan and carry out responsibilities with minimal direction, and thrive in a collaborative cross-team environment
  • Competent in MS Office products, and efficient in e-mail and internet applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, CRM)

 

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Up to 50% of time traveling

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Mental - Requires a relatively high degree of concentration intermittently to compile reports and analyze data approximately 50% of time; periods of mental effort and concentration followed by other aspects of the job with lesser concentration and attention requirements.
  • Physical - Requires walking/standing approximately 20%, sitting approximately 80% and lifting up to 15 lbs. approximately 1% of time; involves repetitive stooping, forward bending and crouching approximately 10% of time.
  • Manual Dexterity - Requires use of hands, arms and feet for repetitive lifting; use of hands and arms to operate computers, copy machine and other general office equipment and to record written information.
  • Audible Demands - Requires ability to hear verbal instructions and to communicate with internal departments and outside sources in person and via telephone.
  • Visual Demands - Requires ability to read written instructions, correspondence and other documentation as well as operate office equipment such as computers and printers.  Color and depth perception not necessary
  • Environmental - Requires capability of performing essential job functions in an established office environment under lighting and climate control tolerances.  Noise level is moderate.
