Aptar BEAUTY GMI - Innovation Development Manager H/F

Primary purpose summary

Part of Aptar Beauty Global Marketing & Innovation team, the GMI Innovation Development Manager leads with Marketing and Business Development new disruptive products/services from concept ideation till validated proof of concept before transfer to Technical Development implementation phase. 

Thanks to a creative challenge-oriented mindset, the Innovation Development Manager will lead the innovation projects involving all relevant internal and external stakeholders.

She / He will take into consideration all value chain constraints: Consumer & Customer needs, Market Trends & Regulatory evolutions, Competition, New Technologies, Intellectual Property, Industrialization process capabilities.

 Tasks / Duties / Key Responsibilities

1. Work on a Global Beauty Scope from Marketing Brief till Proof of Concept validation
2. Guide & support technically Marketing Global Category strategy
3. Ideate, screen & select multiple technical solutions that can guarantee marketing brief satisfaction
4. Present Innovation Projects to Customers with Sales, Marketing and  Business Development to get feedback  and traction
5. Drive innovation projects planning through Aptar stage gate validation process and present progress in Steering Committees  
6. Protect IP with Patent experts and direct contact with Attorneys
7. Identify & Develop External partners collaborations network when technological unknowns require external solutions
8. Ensure Innovation technical/ economical/ time to market relevancy
9. Secure validated Proof of Concept transfer to Regional Development team responsible of implementation

10. Direct management of a technical design conceptor
11. Screen & Test New materials to match Aptar Sustainability commitments
12. Foster Aptar agility

Direct Reporting to Marco Burigana Aptar Beauty Global GMI Innovation Director based in France

Based in France (Paris area or Aptar normandy Verneuil site)  

Key skills

• Ability to translate customer & consumer needs into several creative innovative concepts & multiple technical solutions
• 7 years minimum Expertise in Innovation Packaging Project Management
• Proven Technical creativity in developing new Proof of Concepts with internal & external technical partners (CAD 3D & 2D Design Technical Teams, Fast Prototyping labs, Technology partners)
• Ability to enrich & fuel Aptar Innovation pipeline with New External Technologies scouting
• Ability to guide Computer Aided 3D & 2D Design technical conceptors team  
• Strong Communication & Networking skills with internal & external stakeholders (Strategic Marketing, Business Development, Customers, Business Unit Leaders, Technical Regional Centers, Technical external partners)
• Ability to onboard Top Management Decision makers  
• Entrepreneur mindset  
• Fluent in English (as exposed to all regions)
• Multicultural mindset able to work with a global network
• Ability to work with distant management
