We have an exciting new position open for a New_Product_Design_Engineering_Coordinator. This role reports to the Regional Technical Center Manager, Latin America, Beauty and is ideally based in Cajamar, Brazil. This is an incredible opportunity for a professional who wants to develop a technical career in a innovative company.
Main Objectives:
Coordinate design and engineering of new custom and standard products, ensuring brand acceptance, usability, quality by design, manufacturability and cost approaches .
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate New Product Design: Oversee and organize the activities of new product design engineers.
- Collaborate on Innovation Projects: Contribute to the ideation and development of new product innovations.
- Create Visual and Functional Designs: Develop design intent maps, infographics, hand/digital sketches, and 3D models in both CAID and MCAD environments.
- Produce Renders and Animations: Generate regular, parametric, and interactive renders as well as animations.
- Prepare Product Presentations: Create internal and customer-facing presentations for new products.
- Manage Prototypes and Documentation: Produce prototypes, maintain PRD/CST drawings, manage design FMEA, run tolerance analysis, conduct FEA simulations, and handle product data on PDMLink and SAP.
Education:
- University degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering or other related business field.
Experience:
- 3 to 5 years in similar positions.
- Positions in the packaging industry or B2B environments are desirable.
- Positions in multi-national and multi-cultural companies are desirable.
Skills/Abilities:
- Analytical and Creative Thinking: Combines strong analytical thinking and methodology with out-of-the-box creativity.
- Customer Relations and People Management: Maintains excellent relationships with customers and possesses strong people management skills.
- Multi-Project and Multi-Cultural Team Coordination: Efficiently manages multiple projects involving various complexities, stages, and cultural differences, while leading or being led in multi-cultural teams.
- Communication and Responsibility: Demonstrates excellent communication skills, including storytelling, and behaves responsibly towards company assets and know-how.
