Project Manager

Leads project teams for effective development and deployment of new products.  Displays clear understanding and ability to ensure that team goals meet Customer, Marketing and Aptar's requirements.  Directly supervises, motivates and drives members of assigned project teams.  Demonstrates the ability to lead a multi-disciplined work group to effectively develop, tool and commercialize new products, meeting all objectives and schedules.  Exhibits ability to communicate clearly, using both verbal and written skills.  Displays clear leadership skills in working with Customers, Suppliers and Aptar's Operations to ensure successful execution of assigned projects.  

• Provide in depth direction and vision for strategic projects. 
• Coach, mentor, motivate and influence project team members. 
• Effectively builds and manages customer relationships

• Resolves issues and conflicts with customers and vendors.

• Manages all aspects of moderately complex medium scale to larger scale Stock and Custom Projects using a Stage Gate Methodology To deliver on time, on budget, and on quality.
• Navigates uncertainties by working with stakeholders and project teams to define and refine project requirements in terms of business goals and objectives, product functionality, timing, and budgets
• Manage to deliverables and milestones: on time/within budget/meeting business needs.
• Manages project risks and effectively integrates risk management plans into project schedules and budget
• Negotiate win-win situations and be mindful of political sensitivity, financial conditions, resources, and contractual requirements.
• Understands the need to contribute outside 'core' responsibilities and routinely contributes in this manner.
• Manages and influences internal and external stakeholders according to project goals and business needs.
• Effectively uses various communication formats such as email, presentations, and reports to inform, consult, and drive decision making.
• Committed to results and accountable to project results and managing cross-functional teams.
• Ability to analyze and visualize complex data and big-picture information for storytelling according to stakeholder project team needs.
• Ability to travel both domestically and internationally as required to carry out job requirements.

Education

• Training and experience in project management principles.
• Four year Business or Technical degree as it relates to the functions outlined above.

Experience

• Minimum 5+ years’ experience developing new products.
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.

Preferred Experience

• Statistical Process Analysis Proficiency
• Root cause & problem solving tools such as fishbone, 5 whys, Shainin, etc.
• FMEA, Risk Analysis, and Contingency planning experience.
• Project Management Certifications from PMI or equivalent.
• Lean Six Sigma knowledge and Injection Molding.
• Planisware software experience
