QA Attendant Leader

The Quality Attendant position is responsible for monitoring product conformity to requirements from the production floor. Responsible for the timely and accurate inspection of various parts and/or assemblies as assigned, quality specifications and respective ISO and safety requirements. 

Detailed Description:

Primary Duties and Responsibilities 

 

  • Coordinating & prioritizing QA shift activities and making QA Attendant work assignments.
  • Adherence to written procedures and documents related to role.
  • Visual, functional, and dimensional inspection of products.
  • Documentation of product inspection results.
  • Reporting, identification and segregation of nonconforming products.
  • Successful identification of nonconformities and defects.
  • Compliance with required safety, ISO, and other procedures associated with role
  • Leading the QA Department in resolving complex and/or ambiguous situations related to part quality and related activities (with input from fellow QA Attendants as needed).
  • Ensuring the QA Lab and equipment is cared for properly and that all equipment is functioning effectively. Responsible for keeping the QA Lab clean, orderly, and safe.
  • Regular communications with CTL and operations personnel.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Education:
    • High school diploma or GED

 

 

  • Experience:
    • 5 years relevant experience in a quality/manufacturing setting.
    • ASQ Certified Quality Technician or comprehension of its Body of Knowledge.
    • Excellent metrology background; working knowledge of inspection devices use and calibration.
  • Skills
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Demonstrated computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Office
    • Strong self-direction, consistency in repetitive processes, ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously, and good attendance history
    • Demonstrated basic math skills, ability to read decimals into the thousandths, and understanding of measurement conversions
    • Must possess an excellent work ethic and basic problem solving abilities
    • Timely and accurate monitoring of acceptable and rejectable production from the floor
    • Ability to follow and act upon related ISO procedures that relate to job responsibilities
    • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and to seek assistance when appropriate
    • Willing to work on all shifts as assigned
    • Positive teamwork attitude and excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to read, write, and understand English
    • Ability to follow instructions and related procedures  within a fast paced environment
    • Must have good visual acuity and the ability to detect visual changes of components under a microscope
    • Must be able to discern shades of color and color differences relating to component parts used in the manufacturing process
