SUMMARY

We have an exciting position open in Aptar Closures. Mukwongao Continuous Improvement Manager reporting to Director of Manufacturing NA.  This position will be based in Mukwonago, WI. and will oversee:

 

JOB DUTIES

  • Train workforce on problem solving, APS CI tools and other lean concepts
  • Lead lean pilot groups and coach team members
  • Facilitate cross functional CI teams on total cost issues
  • Identify, prioritize, and leverage opportunities
  • Justify new capital equipment expenditures
  • Mentor Six Sigma Green Belt project owners
  • Lead weekly CI meetings and track progress of all site improvement projects including: cost savings, Pipeline opportunities with savings, and other plant improvement actions
  • Create and Maintain CI opportunity pipeline with hard savings targets
  • Lead / Assist Daily performance management meeting driving actions and accountability
  • Track A3 progress, cost savings and other plant improvement actions.
  • Promote and communicate point kaizen activity internally and externally.
  • Assist shop floor CI teams with statistical analysis and solution validation.
  • Coordinate preparation and planning for the site’s 20 Keys objective
  • Interface with regional operations CI group for external support
  • Assist in preparation of the site’s yearly cost savings and improvement plan.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills are required.  This position will have constant interaction with all levels of employees within the plant as well as executive leadership Regionally and Globally.  Must possess the ability to speak and present to groups and communicate with all levels and be capable of delivering results through a position of influence, not authority.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strategic thinker to lead a group team through influence.
  • Versatile in Lean and Six Sigma principles, BB or LBB certified preferred.
  • Good communicator.
  • Highly motivated and can work from own initiative within broadly scoped position.
  • Proven influencing ability and leadership qualities; Team player.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; preferred technical background with 10 plus years of experience in manufacturing.

 

Marginal Job Functions

  • Review customer specifications and resolve any discrepancies with Aptar product specifications.
  • Develop product specifications, procedures and test methods as required.
  • Participate on Continuous Improvement teams.
