We have an exciting position open in Mukwonago WI: Inspector

 

Job Summary: This position is to provide assistance to Mukwonago’s Quality Systems, and Manufacturing processes.  The role will be responsible for entering in quality notifications, the completion of all quality checks including not limited to start of shifts, product audits, shot inspections, etc. This position must participate and adhere to all applicable plant certifications including but not limited to, ISO 9001, SQF, and BRC.

 

 

Job Elements & Position Responsibilities

  • Read production orders for product requirements.
  • Visually inspect product according to inspection plans including color matching.
  • Bag and tag retain product shots.
  • Support and adhere to all system procedures and company policies/procedures.
  • Inspects, tests, and accepts or rejects finished product using written specifications, parameters, or guidelines, as established by company procedures and as trained by Operations.
  • Documents all inspection/test results and any non-conformances found during the inspection, testing, or evaluations according to established procedures.
  • Support other QA employees on defect awareness, inspection methods, and specification requirements.
  • When necessary, operate emergency stops on closing machines, grinders, auxiliary equipment and understand lockout/tag-out procedure.
  • Ability to run machines adequately for the relief of Operators for breaks/lunch.
  • Able to work with Supervisor and technical team to coordinate plan changes when needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Education
    • High School diploma or GED.
  • Experience:
    • Up to 6 months of training as an Operator.
    • Intermediate-level skills with Microsoft Office Software and Windows operating system.
    • Knowledge of plant Quality Control processes.
    • Knowledge of injection molding and assembly processes.
    • Knowledge of SPC.
    • Knowledge of packaging applications (closures, bottles, & tubes).
    • Good attendance record, must have 12 or less attendance points and under no disciplinary action.

 

  • Skills
    • Ability to read, count, and write.
    • Ability to distinguish color as evidenced by a score of less than 80 on the Farnsworth –Munsell Color Test.
    • Computer data entry and editing skills, including the ability to learn and use applicable company software.
    • Ability to use gages.
    • Able to work with minimal supervisor and to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
    • Detail-oriented.
    • Prompt, reliable attendance is required.
