Job Opening: Production Operator

We are excited to announce an open position for a Production Operator. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring molders, scorers, liners, and injection machines to ensure that all production and quality targets are achieved. The successful candidate will perform changeovers and repairs, ensuring downtime is minimized, and always work in a safe and responsible manner. Additionally, the role involves fault-finding and troubleshooting equipment and processes.

How Your Journey Begins:

1. Receive instructions from the Shift Supervisor and the Production Planner on the correct order sequence and any schedule changes.
2. Receive a handover report from the previous team.
3. Carry out job changes and assist the Maintenance department in tool changes. Follow the relevant procedures as detailed in the work instructions when restarting machinery.
4. Continuously monitor closure production and perform QC checks as detailed in the Gulf Closures quality plan, signing the paperwork. Monitor the status of the closure storage bins on the first platform.
5. Ensure raw material supplies are sufficient.
6. Fill raw material in the silo or directly to the machine.
7. At the beginning and/or end of the shift, ensure all required paperwork is correctly completed as per the work instructions.
8. Repair breakdowns quickly to minimize downtime, obtaining help from the supervisor or maintenance department when necessary. Record all breakdowns and stoppages in the downtime sheet.

10. Carry out machine or material trials as required and record all parameters on the correct sheet.
11. Assist in maintaining the machinery based on the Gulf Closures maintenance plan.
12. Ensure the machine and the work area are kept clean and tidy, free from spills at all times.
13. Regrind the defective product.
14. Work safely at all times, reporting any safety hazards or violations immediately.
15. Ensure all parts withdrawn from the stores are correctly recorded and signed for on the MID note.
16. Perform any other reasonable duties as necessary to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the department.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of a Mechanical or Electrical Diploma or equivalent experience.
