What’s new with Aptar
We have an interesting position open for QUality Controller, Aptar Bahrain. This position is responsible for the direction, strategy, planning and execution of the plant’s manufacturing, quality and continuous improvement operations. The primary mission is to assure commitments to customers are met by providing high quality products, on-time and to meet service requirements such as delivery dates, quantities and costs utilizing available resources. This position is also responsible for creating and driving improvements, cost reductions and integration.
This is how your journey begins:
The controller will be fully responsible on quality monitoring and recording the operational performance for the following sections: Moulding section, Scoring & lining section, Internal Printer, Printing section, Injection moulding process as needed
• Each operational moulding machine will be sampled according to the quality plan; each cap is visually checked according to the Visual Quality Standard.
• Caps are checked for thickness and concavity using bottom thickness and concavity gauges according to the standard of Closures Specification.
• Each lining and scoring machine will be sampled and checked as per quality plan and Quality Standard & specification
• On a frequent basis, the Controller will check the quality of the print as per quality plan and Visual Quality standard.
• Controller when needed, must test the injection moulding production against the quality checks standard
• The controller is responsible to make sure that retention sample is maintained once per shift for each production run (minimum 32 Caps).
• Problems that are encountered will immediately be reported to the operators or supervisors and to the quality department. Once the fault has been found the controller will back track to determine the extent of the problems. The controller is responsible for ensuring that the defect is no longer present.
• All record of testing must be maintained under the quality hub software for each specific open production order
• Holding non-conformity product; proper label and clear identification must be used, and the product must be moved to the designated area. Record the result of the audit on {On Hold) label, the hold material must be restricted in SAP as well
• Ensure that good housekeeping standards are maintained and that you wear the mandatory PP equipment as specified, and you work in a safe manner as defined in Gulf Closures safety policies.
• Actively participating on safety reporting of any concerns and behaviour-based safety as well as conducting frequent layered workstations audit, Red bin Analysis & Root cause analysis
• Controller must be actively engaged in sorting non-conformance product
• Carry out any other reasonable duties, as and when necessary, to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Quality department.
