This is the start of your adventure at Aptar : 

You will play a key role in integrating Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into the purchasing function. Working within the Purchasing Department, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Environment, Technical, and key suppliers, to drive sustainability initiatives aligned with the company’s CSR strategy. You will also ensure compliance with evolving European regulations and global standards while fostering innovation and continuous improvement in responsible sourcing practices.

Key Responsabilities : 

1. ESG Strategy Implementation:

• Collaborate with the Sustainability and Purchasing teams to define and execute the ESG strategy for key purchasing categories impacting Aptar’s ESG performance(developing roadmaps, prioritize impacts..)
• Ensure ESG objectives are integrated into the purchasing processes, supplier selection, and contract management.
• Collaborate with key purchasing leaders to develop and implement action plans to achieve ESG targets, including carbon footprint reduction, and sustainable material sourcing.

2. Regulatory Compliance:

• Monitor regulations (e.g., CSRD, SFDR, Due Diligence Directive) and industry standards related to ESG from purchasing perspective in collaboration with inputs from the Sustainability team.
• Work with the key purchasing managers to enhance their compliance and reporting on ESG metrics.

3. Supplier Collaboration and Development:

• Lead the process of supplier assessments focusing on ESG criteria (e.g., carbon footprint, ethical labor practices) with the support of an external platform.

4. Reporting and Analysis:

• Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for ESG initiatives in purchasing.

Profil : 

• +5 years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, or ESG-related roles.
• Proven track record in implementing ESG initiatives or projects within a purchasing context.
• Strong knowledge of ESG principles, European regulations, and CSR frameworks (e.g., GRI, CDP, TCFD) and reporting standards (SBTi)
• Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).
• Understanding of purchasing processes and supplier management.
