Primary purpose summary
This position is responsible for leading, managing and supporting the assessment of regional Learning and development initiatives in Asia, with a special focus on business needs, regional alignment, leveraging global programs, and efficiency and effectiveness in the local implementation.
The function owns the regional L&D governance, moderates regional L&D projects and implementation, and evaluates learning and development programs that facilitate organization development at all levels, and that support and reinforce the business segments strategies, structures and processes, and continuous learning of employees.
The goal of L&D is aligning stakeholder interests, while ensuring that learning initiatives map back to and are in support of organizational goals, shaping good Learning and Development (L&D) governance practices.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Engage an open learning culture that provides development opportunities in the region.
- Manage and drive the strategic training standardization and harmonization in the region by defined business cases.
- Serve as L&D Center of Expertise representative in the region, being the first contact for HRBPs and the business for learning & development topics.
- Empower local and regional Aptar functions (learning hubs) to share critical expertise while following a defined governance and methodology to guarantee standardization of purchasing, content quality, and deployment while reducing costs and administrative workload.
- Manage the L&D catalogue in Horizon with all local and regional HR and business learning hubs and being in charge of developing the learning content or programs.
- Offer a culture and infrastructure of “People development” to answer diversified aspirations and career desires in line with our needs of talents and diversity & inclusion understanding in the region.
- Track and ensure compliance with local and regional legislation topics in relation to training.
- Manage and own Aptar`s Learning-Experience-Platform (Horizon) that houses and provides internal and external development opportunities and services to match career aspirations in regions.
- Leverage leadership, coaching, mentoring and other professional development trainings in the country.
- Implement continuous improvement processes leveraging global, regional and local needs.
- Actively leverage local and regional partnerships with target universities and technical schools with our global HR community.
- Participate in regional conferences and business networks to promote Aptar and to learn external best practices to achieve “Best in class” internally and externally.
- Participate in the development of the L&D strategy.
- Support the clarification of the regional AptarGroup training budget in the region.
Required Qualifications
- Education:
- 4-Year college degree
- Prefer a master’s degree
- Experience:
- 5 - 10+ years experiences in L&D, Talent Management or business experiences including knowledge management
- 5+ years in Training and Executive Development, both hands-on and program development, including Succession Planning
- LxP / LMS experiences is a plus
- Knowledge:
- Local / regional language and must be fluent in English
- Excellent influencing, negotiation- and coaching skills
