Primary Purpose Summary

This position is responsible for designing and developing innovative and functional plastic caps for various products. This role requires a deep understanding of plastic materials, molding processes, and structural design principles to create caps that meet both aesthetic and functional requirements.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities 

• Design from concept to manufacturing, design new products that meet customer specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using CREO software.
• Perform structural analysis to ensure the durability and reliability of the designs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality control, and product management, to ensure designs are feasible and meet production standards.
• Evaluate and select appropriate plastic materials for cap production based on performance, cost, and sustainability factors.
• Develop and implement design solutions to improve functionality, including sealing, dispensing, and child-resistant features.
• Conduct design reviews and make necessary revisions based on feedback from internal and external stakeholders.
• Stay current with the latest trends and advancements in plastic cap design and manufacturing technologies.
• Prepare technical documentation and specifications for production and quality control.
• Support the new product development process from concept to market launch.
• Other tasks assigned by manager. 

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in designing plastic caps or related packaging components.
• Proficient in CREO software, or similar 3D modeling tools (UG).
• Knowledge of plastic materials, their properties, and behavior during the molding process.
• Proactive willingness and self-driven learning agility.
• Be practical, strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently on projects.
• Good communication skills to effectively present design concepts and solutions to customer.
• Basic oral English is preferred.
• Innovative mindset is preferred.
