Professional III, Mold

This position is expected to lead mold design and development to ensure the mold quality, cost and lead time to be delivered with the demands from Project Manager.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• New mold design and development base on the requirement from Project manager.
• Use existing mold to design and transform for new product development。
• Lead the technical discussion during DFM and Mold design review.
• Follow up the mold/mold component manufacturing in desired cost and schedule.
• Lead the mold trial run and trouble shooting and implement the solutions on time.
• Technical support to Product Engineer, PM and Sales.
• Estimate the cost and lead-time of new mold and mold component.
• Prepare mold specifications for new projects.
• Record the mold project change information, file the mold adjustment action.
• The mold project related information archiving and transfer to production.
• Supervise and manage mold vendors to make sure qualified mold delivery.
• Support operation team on existing mold optimization projects if needed.
• Be consultant for mold refurbishment projects lead by operation team.
• Support training and mold development department management.
• Other tasks assigned by manager.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above, major in mold tech or mechanical engineering related field.
• At least 5+ years mold design and project management experience in injection mold.
• At least 8+ years working experience in injection mold industry.
• Rich experience in injection mold design, technology and troubleshooting; ability to identify injection mold machining process, quality control and molding process availability.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be familiar with MS office and 3d CAD software.
• Good English skill in oral and written.
• Good knowledge on high cavitation and precision mold is preferred.
• Good knowledge on closure, pump and other packaging mold is preferred.
