Sourcing Manager

This position is expected to manage the purchasing of assigned categories, developing local categories’ strategies, supplier management strategies, and leading the team to execute the strategies and supplier management. Lead the execution of purchasing categories of functions for NPD and at the site level, to better control the company’s production costs/capex and create higher value for the company.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement local categories’ strategies, supplier management strategies.
• Lead the execution of purchasing categories of functions for NPD and at the site level.
• Optimize supplier portfolio and processes, considering quality, reliability, prices, continuity, terms and delivery. Set KPI and evaluation system to measure and improve supplier’s performance.
• Engage stakeholders across the chain, including PD, Supply Chain, Quality, Operation, and more.
• Develop the team and nurture talent.
• Contribute to budgeting, continuous productivity, and project margin improvement efforts.
• Manage a portfolio of strategic sourcing initiatives.
• Manage the supply risk that may jeopardize the project milestone and be able to coordinate the alternative solution.
• Ensure that Business Ethics is at all times. Compliant with the Company Policy and Purchasing Policy.
• Ensure all sourcing related documents are archived perfectly and timely.
• Keep line manager accurately informed of work status as well as any problems.
• Other tasks assigned by manager.

Requirements:

• Education
  • Bachelor’s degree or above

• Experience
  • At least 8 years experiences in purchasing for international manufacturing enterprises
• Skills
  • Fluent oral and written English
  • Knowledge in full procurement process flow and interface coordination with user department
  • Technical expertise on technical, project management, negotiation and sourcing
  • Leadership & behaviours: good management skills, leadership, stakeholder management.
  • Business knowledge: strong understanding of business priorities, supplier pool.
  • Be familiar with ERP system and relative application and software (SAP, Ariba is preferred)
